But Nebraska fans will tell you they’re actually quite optimistic about the future. One reporter agrees.Brett McMurphy of Stadium thinks it’s a “lock” that Nebraska winds up ranked in the preseason top 25 heading into the 2019 campaign. It’s a bold take, but it isn’t crazy.Nebraska started the Scott Frost era with six straight losses – including heartbreakers to Colorado and Northwestern. But the Cornhuskers looked a lot better down the stretch, finishing 4-2 the rest of the way.Nebraska played Ohio State tough in early November.
